Thank You & God Bless
christine_dixon
good call, lib.

its too easy to take for granted all the people that sacrificed their time, families, freedoms, and lives to protect ours... giving us the right to sit here and be allowed to voice an opinion.

thank you all.
Bentcorner
There should be a federal law stating that all veterans get Veterans Day off with full pay and that non-veterans don't get Veterans Day off. Why should I have to work today and my mail person get the day off when she never served? That's how the government shows their gratitude to veterans everywhere - by not delivering their mail.

Yeah.

The Fallen Soldier Display is more correctly associated with Memorials Day then Veterans Day. In reality, it's the way soldiers show their respects to their own fellow soldiers who have paid the ultimate price.

Not at all. I'm not arguing about anything. I was just trying to point out that the Fallen Soldier Display is not something one normally associates with Veterans Day.

I don't care whether it's Veterans Day or Memorial Day
I will show my respect, no matter what day it is.

That's why I posted this. Soldier that serve our country should always be remember.
Some are no longer with us, but they are never forgotten.

That's why I have the icon I do. Their always in my heart.
I have had many family members that faught in wars & died.

To be honest, I can't even shake a Veterans hands without getting tears in my eye's.
I'm that grateful to all Veterans.

I would like to see the Troops come home.

Your right about one thing. All Veterans should have the day off!!!!!
Not just the Freaken Government, not the one's that never served our country.

Let us not just "honor" them on one day.

Well said Dragon. Very nice picture, thank you for sharing. I was happy I had the chance to spend Veteran's Day with my Dad, a veteran. Thanks one and all for reminding me to remember all who serve and have served, throughout the year. I appreciate everyone for sharing your unique ways of marking the day.
