We need some place to put our pics that we take of anything that interests us.
I'll start with the full moon this morning. I thought it was pretty, but I don't think my camera work did it justice.

and heres a pic of my present that bloomed already!

Good idea, WVD!
That moon was absolutely beautiful this morning, I got to see it before the sun was anywhere near coming up. (had to go to work this morning) It was like daylight out at 4:30am.
The amyrillis (I know my spelling's off) is gorgeous! Looks almost like a giant orchid.

Oh well. Yes, I don't live in a sterilized enviroment, so there!

Beer AND wine? Nice tree tho.
Anyone happen to see the afternoon sky yesterday around 2-ish? The clouds were pink and turquoise. I didn't have my camera for once of course.

I don't know if it's just the angle of the picture, but that tree looks huge, SMan. How tall is it??
That amaryllis is gorgeous! Looks like you have two in full bloom. (I like you peacock too!) My house has the "lived in" look too. We like it that way. Most days, anyway!

And it seems like we have been having lots of beautiful full moons lately. Wish I could have seen that pink and turquoise sky. That's a way to de-stress, for me. The sky.... so soothing.
Everyone enjoy your day!

I rarely drink wine and hadn't really planned to last night until a house guest gifted us a bottle. I paid for it this morning.
The tree is a 9 foot Wal Mart fakie, but a pretty decent quality fakie.

Actually, unless you're going to be blowing up your pics to poster size, 5mp or 6mp is quite adequate, if not overkill for even an 8X10 glossy; that is, if you set all the options to maximum. There are 12 and I think 14mp cameras out there now, but still a little on the salty priced size.
The things I personally would look for in a digital still camera, would be features and particularily battery life. The cam I have now, really eats thru batts, even the highest rechargeables. 8mp would even be the highest i would consider.
The Canon Powershot 1000 is supposed to be an excellent camera, rendering colors accurately and avoiding the purple tint that some cams have. And it's under 200 dollars.

It wasn't me. I look for B-52 pics every once in a while and recently found it on
Flickr. I know it was taken on Andersen Air Force Base on Guam. It's a memorial dedicated to the Arc Light missions flown over Vietnam. I used to be stationed on Guam.

No those aren't light's if you're speaking of the Mauve colored ornament's. Their victiorian antquie ornament's we have, 4 each of a different type, tear dropped, round, and light bulb design. The pine cones (you can only see one) we have 4 of them. They weigh less then an ounce and they came from Italy. Their hand blown and yes the ornament's we wire to the tree. Our tree has over 3000 light's on it so needless to say at night time we use no lamps. It took us 12 year's to get what we have on the tree and my wife was a floral designer for 12 years so the flower stuff comes from her. Me I just look for something unique to add. Since the tree has been done the only thing we change from year to year is the ribbon color. Back a few year's ago we did inside and out side in Lavender ribbon's and bow's to bring awarness to Alzheimer's due to my Mother. The following year we did all Pink in honor of Cancer awarness due to my sister in law. When we done the house in honor of Alzheimers we was pictured in the lacal newspaper. We normally put up over 175,000 light's outside. This was the first year we didn't do anything outside due to my health and back. We try to pick a theme every year and stick with it. I start looking right after christmas for something unique and then the wife takes over with the floral stuff from there.
We started a Bell Collection for my sister in law that left us due to Cancer. The set of Bells are complete and Ed never got to see the last Bell. The bells are from Fenton and hand done and numbered YES THEIR INSURED. I tried to get it to upload but it's saying it's too big to upload. If you know how I can get it to copy and paste I'll post it. But that too won't let me do it on here. I cant' copy and paste Tell me how to do that and I'll show you the bells.

Well, I use my Microsoft Picture It! that came on my computer when I bought it. I upload the pics from camera to a file, and then I make a copy of them and then I use the Picture IT! program to resize them. I then upload them to my Photobucket account and then on Photobucket you can copy the code to link it to your posts. It sounds complicated but it's not. Believe me! IF I can do it, you can do it!

Before I got a digital camera, I use to take my film to Walmart and check the box to get them on a CD. Then all I had to do was put the CD in my drive and go from there. I rarely use the upload option on here. It's too small anyways

Thank you. Yeah you're right He's a keeper. Those eye's just melt me. Ok I give in I say yes!!! He calls me Pop. Hunter just turned a year old. But we so much want a little girl this time around We have 3 other Grandson's in addition to Hunter. We love them dearly. Their eyes are dark chocolate brown.
The pine cones came as a gift to us, and there is a set of 4, 2 small one's and 2 large ones like you see. Their hand blown and they came from Italy. Man I love my friends. Don't worry we returned only from other countries. It's a big thing to each of us to share a unique gift every 5 year's. Heck that's all we can afford. But the Pine Cones are insured and we wire them to the tree like many of our other ornament's that are valuble. That way if someone comes in even by just looking they can't hurt a thing. BTW, you may call me Brian. Yes I'm die hard Dodge, ok you got me My wife Drives a Chrysler.
The little tree you see is filled with everything that our son and daughter either bought or made for us that set's in the dinning room. We normally have a ton of things up for the holdiday's but this year my back just said NO!!!
