Hey, guys! Long time, no geek! I'm trying to upload a video onto my blog...lil moms singing at mass...so my family can see it. Thing is, it's about 3 mins long and weighs in at 238 MB. It's taking years to upload onto blogspot, and I honestly don't know if they allow something that big! Do you know of any way to compress it or something to make it more manageable?? I cleared my cache hoping that would help speed things up, but I think it's the sheer size of the file. Of course now that we've gone to Sprint broadband, everything seems slow .

I had considered that, but wasn't sure if I would have the same issue. I'll give it a try this afternoon. Thanks for the suggestion!

You're likely looking at a couple hours to upload a file that size with the stingy upload speeds provided by our local broadband services. What is the resolution of the video (640x480, 320x200, etc.)? Do you have any software that will allow you to lower the resolution, which would lower the file size?

The youtube upload worked really well, BC. Thanks for that idea!

Sman, it only took about a half hour to load up on youtube, so no complaints there. I changed the resolution on my camera so that it comes out nice and sharp....640x480 I think. I'm not sure if I can change the settings on the camera and download it again in a reduced format....never tried it.....but I can't say that I've ever found anything in the software that was especially helpful for video or regular photos. That's my only complaint about the Cyber-Shot...the software leaves much to be desired. I'm sure if I dug around on cnet for awhile I could find something free to do the job, though! Something to think about if I start doing more of this.
