Right now, the leading contender is Ludwig. I was watching a show where someone named Ludwig was being interviewed and I said I like the name. Then I realized the tie-in with the St. Bernard in the Beethoven movies. Not a bad start.
Anynow, here's some quick pix taken with my cell phone.

OMG Chip, that is one insanely cute pup!!!!

How about Bruno? That was the name of the dog in The Triplets of Belleville. I also LOVE WVD's recommendation of Thorbjorn -- that would go nicely with your current dogs' names. You could also do a little bit of research into the geography where the St. Bernard originated and possibly find a lake or mountain with a pretty name....or you could just name it Ricola.

When I read Ricola, I laughed out loud and scared the puppy!

Again, I like Bruno, but it's Val's sister's last name - and they live across the street. Thorbjorn is interesting - what is it - or he? Yeah, we've been researching both the breed and geography for names.

Well, our two Newfoundlands were trained by a police dog trainer who moonlights. So we'll probably use the same guy. Yeah, we DO work with our dogs - early and often! I'm amazed when I see people who let the dogs rule the roost - Val and I are the alpha dogs in our house.

I thought of some more names for you, Chip! Since you have a dessert shop, how about calling it Mousse? And people would think you're saying "Moose" because he's so big. Another idea, I know you like beer, how about Porter? It would have a double meaning since St. Bernards have the reputation of bringing barrels of booze to stranded skiers, so they are porters themselves, in a sense. And someone else mentioned Tort since you're an attorney, but you could spell it "Torte" like the dessert. I love me some wordplay.
Hubby suggested Blancmange but that's a little too insidey IMO, dessert-wise.
