My wife's birthday is 2-20 and she wants a Wii. I have had no luck finding one. I know the ebay route and the bidding wars. I attempted but was burnt and lost a few dollars on a fake Wii sale on ebay so I am a little turned off.
Anyone know anyone that has one for sale locally or any contact???
I went to Circuit City this weekend and I think they got 5 in and people got in line like 2 hours before the store was open to get those five.

Tried that and Ebay really makes me sick because of me losing money. Can't you just sell me yours?

There is a wii tracker website that checks store inventories in your area. I have the link on my home computer. I'll post it tonight.
FWIW, I have one, played Wii Sports with friends/families a few times, then gave up on the gimmicky control scheme. The last time I turned it on was months ago to download the old Punch Out. I don't know why I keep it, but I don't want to sell it.
Also, the game stores at the mall were doing the pre-order waiting list again before Christmas. Maybe if you get your name in you'll have one by the 20th. Target seems to get a lot, but you have to be there Sunday mornings when they put the new stuff out to coincide with the current sales flyer.

You could try calling Target late Tue. afternoon. They sometimes get trucks in on Tue.

Toys R Us usually gets a shipment and puts them on the shelf for Sunday Mornings. You'd probably have to stand in line though. Same as anywhere else I guess. We got ours at Game Crazy on a Thursday evening. The guy there was super nice and after calling him about 30 times we finally caught them at the right time. He actually pulled one off the shelf and held it for us till we got across town!!!

hago, you around? Wii's in stock right now at
Sears.com. Who knows how long they'll last.
Here's the link I was talking about. You can even subscribe to an RSS feed.

Damn, too bad. I was keeping my eye on that Sears site this evening and they were still in stock as recently as 7ish. Good luck.

Yea it is still listed right now as being in stock but when you click on add to cart it pops up stating out of stock.

Have you tried amazon.com? seriously. They sell more than books and DVD's. If they don't stock it, maybe one of their partners does.
I've gotten a few hard to find items from Amazon.

It's rare Amazon has them, and when they do, the entire intarwebz knows about it and they sell out in minutes. One of the gaming sites I follow has a neverending thread on finding the Wii and for some unknown reason, I keep up with it.
Let me channel the burniniator and say I <3 Amazon. I order so much crap, I joined their Amazon Prime club last year for free 2-day shipping (and $4/item overnight) on all orders. I paid for half the membership right off the bat by saving $30 for overnight shipping on a laptop. Plus, no sales tax is good stuff.
