OK, this got me a little curious, so since I was bored, I thought I would BUST this MYTH.
So in my invetsigation, I found out that Kraft was part of a MUCH bigger conglomeration of companies, and I'm sure there's some peanut butter in there. I'm sure the mother organization shares resources as far as packaging goes. Here's some of the useless stuff I found:
1960
Kraft peanut butter is introduced in Canada.
1985
General Foods Corporation is acquired by Philip Morris Companies Inc.
1985
R.J. Reynolds merges with Nabisco Brands creating the largest consumer goods company in the U.S. Added to Nabisco's food portfolio are Del Monte canned products, A.1. steak sauce (developed in the 1820s) and Grey Poupon mustard (introduced in 1877).
1988
Kraft, Inc. is acquired by Philip Morris Companies Inc., making Philip Morris the world's largest consumer products company.
1989
The food products divisions of Philip Morris - General Foods and Kraft - are joined to become Kraft General Foods. Kraft General Foods International is also established.
2000
Kraft Foods' parent company Philip Morris Companies Inc. acquires Nabisco Holdings, a world leader in cookies, crackers and snacks. The Nabisco brands are integrated into the Kraft Foods business worldwide.
