What's the best kind of flooring to use for an indoor greenhouse?

Is it in your house or in a building away from the house?
An out building, I would use a wooden plank floor or just use fine stone dust over the ground.
If you are looking for some old windows for a hot box. I have some old storm glass window panels. I`ll give them away.

Hubby built a regular deck under mine and then covered with scrap plywood and then leftover vinyl tiles. seems to be working ok. I'm a sloppy gardener.

It's inside my house. The room needs to have new drywall, anyway, and I love plants. So I would like to use this room as a greenhouse area, but I am a sloppy gardener, too. It's in the north end of the house, but has lots of windows and a big floursescent light. I had luck one year in WV with growing herbs in pots in the north end of my house....so I think there will be enough sun.

really? In the North window? wow. I always thought that you needed a South facing window. I know my African Violet loves my North window all year long. Can you put in more windows? to get more light? Whats the floor like? Maybe get a piece of linolium remnent for under the plants?

It's a hardwood floor, but the part near the windows needs to be replaced. The room is like the rest of the house.....lots of windows. My tomatoes, peppers, and melons always did well south of the house, but sage, patchouli, and lavendar did well on the north side of the house.

Anyways, heres what I planted my strawberries in on sunday morning. And then I was thinking, ya know, someone with no yard or very limited space could use one of these to have some fresh salad makings.

Where di U get that planter? Was it expensive? I think that's something I could handle without killing it. Small enough to not cause me too much work....

I bought it at Lowes. It was like $40, but I figure that I can reuse it from year to year.
You caould do spring onions on top, radishes in the middle and leaf lettuce on the bottom
