How many more companies have to close before Washington Co. shuts down? I have some close Friends that work there and in deed this is a sad thing to happen.

Sad indeed.
I see this is only affecting NON-UNION employees.
One more reason to ORGANIZE!!!!!
The Union is your friend!

Unions have out lived their usefulness IMO.

You're a bright guy Pat, do a little research on Unions in TODAY's world, you just might change your opinion.

Thanks dear.
I figured I'd get a rise out the resident Union Steward.

I've had this conversation on here before...
IMO unions were lifesavers at one time -- terribly needed. Then the pendulum swung too far the union way and they got crazy.
Unions are much less necessary today and in many cases are bastions of corruption and political BS.
I have friends and relatives in unions -- some love it, some do not. I was never in one. But the crap of getting your "quota" done in an easy 4 hours and then being required to sit and kill time all day is total BS and any union doing it will get what they deserve eventually -- which is driven out of the business. That's total BS.

I work in a closed shop, so I have no choice about being in the union. I can't stand unions and it pains me to see money taken from my check each week to be used for financing political campaigns for which I rarely agree. That being said, I can't trust my employers to be fair, so the union becomes a necessary evil to negate another evil.
