I've been in Target once, when it opened. They had 3 racks of clothes for Plus size women. That was all...3. That tells ME that they have no regard for me and my Big sisters out there. I've never been back. This fat chick can take a hint from the skinny a$$es. They lost my money.
I'll go to BB&B. They have alot of the TV stuff also. Kmart used to have it, but I don't know if they still do.

the gourmet chef outlet has tons of "as seen on tv" cool gadget-y things... and usually for less than the television price. choppers, flexible cutting boards, juicers, popcorn machines, margarita makers, etc. great stuff. they have something for everyone in there.... dips, wing sauces, shot glasses, small appliances.. definitely worth a checking out... plus: they have samples in there that put sam's to shame. heh. AND they let you test some of the smaller gadgets! peelers, presses, choppers, etc. cool if you arent sure if you want to spend the $ on something and would like to see how well it works...

I bought the ab roller thing a long time ago. Whatever that thing was that helped you do sit ups. It was dumb. I sent it back.
I almost bought some steam roller contraption for your hair. I bought Conair Big Curls instead and it's worked great for me for the past several years and it wasn't nearly as expensive.
I don't trust that tv stuff.
Oh - I also bought a full set of VHS tapes of Steve Irwin and the filming of The Crocodile Hunter back when the show was popular. It showed Steve running off to the hospital when his wife was in labor with their daughter. Steve was still acting all crazy and energetic in the delivery room. And it showed some uncensored clips of when he was bitten by various animals. He didn't always say, "crikey!"

The selection of plus size clothes really varies from location to location. We have quite a few Target stores here in Louisville, I know at least half are just as you described. However, it seems the selection of plus sized clothes available on their website is alot larger than any of the stores I've been in. Old Navy is the same way, only a few select stores carried their plus size line and now it's available online *only*. I'm with you WVD, I refuse to spend my money in stores that prejudice against curvy women.

Thats interesting! I will check out the 3 rack scenario. It could have been because they were just opened? Believe me you could never convince me that plus-sizers avoid the place.

OMG my Eagle wax kit came in the mail yesterday and I just ordered it last week. The stuff is as they say on TV. I had some very light scratches on the side of my truck. Dawm off roading, anyhow the buff thing that came with it and the wax took it out and you can't even tell it was a scratch there. I haven't done anything with this new and improved tire wax yet but will this week end. I'd have to say for the $47.00 fee it's well worth it.
I've not seen the end cap at target either, but then again I hate Target so I don't go there only the wife does.

Go to the kitchen chef store at the outlet's or to Bed bath and beyond to get a juicer, their cheaper and they do work. Don't know the name of our's it's packed away still but we've used it alot for lemons and limes when we grill Salmon steaks. Don't really use it for juice, hell you can buy juice and it's done with out the mess.

Target -- I've bought clothes there-but they only have a few racks and they are near the prego area--but I have bought suits jackets and dress slacks for work from there.
Have I bought stuff from the TV? not really--a pair of gold hoops I wear all the time 12 years ago. I have bought the little steam cleaner from CVS and was not impressed.
Mainly I try to stay away from crazy sounding stuff like the plastic 'pasta cooker'..

Target - love the place - I could seriously max out a credit card there if given the chance!
As Seen on TV... Ok - I did see last night these hanging things that you put a tomato plant in and it basically grows upside down??? Hummm.... I hate it when the tomatos get heavy, drop down to the soil no matter what I try to do & get buggy and rotten... And if I call within the next 15 mins, I get double the offer PLUS a handy, dandy tomato slicer so that I can have perfectly even slices of tomato every time!

Most stores do not serve thin women either. My daughter can't find a pair of 00 long jeans to save her life! She constantly complains that some stores' versions of size 0 are really made for fatties. Trust me we have been
everywhere. Every now and then Hollister will have a pair that fits her okay, and one time we actually lucked out at one of the cheaper women's clothing stores, but we have spent hours at times hitting all sorts of stores without any luck. She is moderately tall and skinny and can't find clothes that fit right for anything.
P.S. I honestly don't think I have ever bought one of those as seen on TV things.

Not I!
I have a cousin who wears a size 0 and honestly even though she is 26 she looks like a young girl, no curves at all. Society today has girls so brainwashed into thinking that you are not accepted if you're not a walking skeleton. It's really sad what girls will go through to feel like they "fit in". I know the story all too well, I battled with anorexia & bulemia as a teen. I cringe to think of how I abused my body just to try & stay thin. Women should embrace their curves and hold their head high!

Oh and one thing that really angers me and her is the number of idiots who accuse her of being anorexic. She is perfectly healthy and eats well. She is simply and naturally skinny. There is no way around it--i understand BMIC--her friends at times have made comments that she must not eat..but that is not it--she is just tiny, so was i in high school..and my sister still is..she just has a fast metabolism..mine is underground but that is another story..so tell your DD it is okay-there are those who really understand..

THANK YOU I'm glad some one else see's this. I'm 43 and the most I've ever weighted was 162 lbs. I'm sorry Dragon but God made me wrong. I eat like a hog, and I just can't gain weight. I've had ever test possible so don't go there and I've even drank the weight gain junk for 6 month's straight and I LOST 14 lbs. I'm just too hyper and I've given up the to the fact that I'm bonie. It's very hard for me to find jeans that fit me, I'm Now at the age of 43 a 32 waist and 34 leg They don't make them every now and then if I'm lucky I'll catch them at walmart, kmart, or sear's. But it's tuff so I feel for you ok. I couldn't imagine fighting the over weight issue cause I'm in the other side.

when i graduated highschool, i was 5'7, 115lbs. i never dieted a day in my life, i wasnt particularly active, i worked at pizza place... i just happened to be thin. really thin. i was really thin ( size 0, which was awkward cause of my hieght) until i had my child at the age of 21. after i had her, and the pregnancy pounds came off, i was left with a more womanly figure.. some curves... i'm still in the low size range, but i look more like a "grown up" now. had i not had my daughter, who knows... i might have still been shoppin at the Limited Too.

If we are talking about skinny teenager clothes DEB in the mall has racks of jeans that are only size 0-3. Yet teenager clothes only go up to size 13 (15 sometimes-good luck with that though). With the rise in obesity in America, you think they'd up that 13 a bit, especially since those jeans are TIGHT (I know because I wear them). Jeans that only rise to two inches above your genitals don't look good on anyone, especially not anyone over size 3. Yuck.

Coming into this thread late, but here it goes...
Yes... Dragon is right on! I gave friends/family shake flashlights for Christmas one year. I am pretty sure my dad's is still in the box. LOL Personally, Hubby and I love them, mostly because I get tired of reaching for a flashlight and finding that the batteries are dead. I think they're the best for cars and "emergency" stashes.
I own a George Foreman grill... which still gets occasional use. My father says that it makes all food flavorless.

But sometimes it's convenient for a quick meal.
I also bought Bare Escentuals mineral makeup, which is often advertised on TV (QVC? Informercial? I forget.). Quite honestly, the best makeup I've ever used. I am a non-cosmetic girl usually--I wear makeup maybe twice a month--but whenever I do use it, I always get compliments on my "glowing, natural skin." Haha... the secret is mineral makeup!
I've been thinking about buying a Magic Bullet, too. I thought it would be good for homemade baby food.

Bare Minerals! I forgot about that purchase! But, to be fair - after my oldest had seen it on TV & just "swore" this was the answer to make up, I went on line & purchased. Love it! Never used anything better!
I always wondered about those flashlights... I wanted to get one for the father-in-law that has everthing!
Now - confession... I caved... Ordered the Bender Ball last week. I'll give a full report once I actually get it out of the box & USE it!

stove top. pour the batter, wait till it gets the bubbles( just like a regular flat one), then flip. Then you can fill them with stuff, or you can put stuff in the batter while they're cooking and before you flip them.
