Yes Hillary I agree... but these were an out and out lie proven by video tape...
And you adamantly told reporters after your speech that was the way it was.....

So what do you think of Hillary's claim to being under fire when she arrived in Bosnia...
Along with a lot of other statements she has made that seem to rather embellished....

Seems that the Democrats are once again looking to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory....

I understand, that Bill said that if he knew that there was a chance of a real threat in Bosnia he would have sent Hillary sooner.... LOL

I thought this is part of taking an oath to up hold in public office???? "Can you make the people believe a lie?"
Just a punt against the Hillary. Can't stand her. This is not accusing you or anyother member ok.
SMan
You'll be alright. As long as Sinbad isn't there to bust you out about what really happened.
Snoopy
I do not understand -- was there EVER a time when this happened to Hillary? I mean, is it plausible she mixed-up dates or places, but she did once dodge bullets when she landed in a foreign country?
SMan
You'd think you wouldn't forget something like that.

Highly doubtful, since as other comentators have said, it would have been a huge embarrassment to those responsible for her security and heads would've rolled. It would be common knowledge.
Snoopy
Then there is no explanation but a complete and total lie. Imagine that...
Ithlilian
Where are all of the Hillary supporters? I remember hearing people saying they would vote for her just because she was a woman. I think they heard Hillary speak a few times and then disappeared...if the democrats keep fighting maybe there will be a republican president after all...

There's no real hope. McCain, Obama or Clinton: either way the Democrats win.
Udmas
That's right I forgot about all of McCain's far left ideas.

Not far left, but left enough that he'll probably win with all of the moderate democrats crossing over, once the real campaign starts and Obama is revealed for what he is: perhaps the most extremely far left wing member of Congress today.

"Bill Clinton's inaccuracies don't involve long-ago memories, but misstatements about how his wife has handled the story."
...
"A lot of the way this whole campaign has been covered has amused me," Bill Clinton said in Boonville, Ind. "But there was a lot of fulminating because Hillary, one time late at night when she was exhausted, misstated and immediately apologized for it, what happened to her in Bosnia in 1995.

"Did y'all see all that? Oh, they blew it up," the former president continued. "Let me just tell you. The president of Bosnia and Gen. Wesley Clark — who was there making peace where we'd lost three peacekeepers who had to ride on a dangerous mountain road because it was too dangerous to go the regular, safe way — both defended her because they pointed out that when her plane landed in Bosnia, she had to go up to the bulletproof part of the plane, in the front. Everybody else had to put their flak jackets underneath the seat in case they got shot at. And everywhere they went they were covered by Apache helicopters. So they just abbreviated the arrival ceremony.

"Now I say that because what really has mattered is that even then she was interested in our troops," he said. "And I think she was the first first lady since Eleanor Roosevelt to go into a combat zone. And you would of thought, you know, that she'd robbed a bank the way they all carried on about this. And some of them when they're 60 they'll forget something when they're tired at 11 o'clock at night, too."
...
"THE FACTS:

Bill Clinton has many of the facts wrong.

His wife didn't make the sniper fire claim "one time late at night when she was exhausted." She actually told the story several times, including during prepared remarks on foreign policy delivered the morning of March 17.

It's also not true that she "immediately apologized for it." Clinton has never apologized for the comments and only acknowledged that she "misspoke" a week after the March 17 speech when video of her peaceful tarmac reception emerged.

It's also not true that she was the "first first lady since Eleanor Roosevelt to go into a combat zone" — a claim that Hillary Clinton has also made when talking about the trip. Pat Nixon traveled to Saigon during the Vietnam war and Barbara Bush went to Saudi Arabia two months before the launching of Desert Storm.

The trip also was not in 1995, but 1996."

And THIS is the husband and wife team that they want to send back to the White House for a third term? NO THANKS!
Ithlilian
Ugh :/
Shouldn't she have just said my mistake from the beginning? Then it would have been over. It seems like they are holding on to the lie and it is only hurting them. That doesn't seem like smart politics.
Patton
No, she should just STFU and go away. But that is one Republicans opinion. huh.gif
Ithlilian
Yes, that does seem to be most people's opinion. When everyone is saying "Why doesn't she just drop out" she must be hearing "You go girl!" or something... ph34r.gif

I agree but it's typical Clinton politics and to an extent they were so successful at it that many of their Democrat colleagues have taken up the same approach. They think that by merely pretending something is true over and over again, they can make it true. Of course what Bill and Hitlery are forgetting is that it doesn't work when the liberal media aren't playing along.
