I'm looking for a place to buy (relatively) inexpensive, unfinished wood furniture (pine is okay). Anyone know of a local spot?

Just Cabinets, next to Ollies in Chambersburg sells both unfinished and finished wood. Not real expensive.
What type of furniture are you looking for?

There's a place in one of the little strip stores at Berkeley Plaza in Martinsburg that sells unfinished furniture. Berkeley Plaza is on U.S. 11 just before you get into Martinsburg.

Looking mostly for bookcases and end tables... things like that. Thanks for the info!

Ollies is no longer there. They moved about a month ago to the old Food Lion store in the Franklin Shoppng center. Just Cabinets does have some nice stuff depending on what your looking for

I bought my tv stand there. It's right by the movie theater.

Isn't there a place on Pa. Ave. that sells unfinished furniture? The place with the huge rocking chair on the roof???

I bought my diningroom table there. I finished it myself to match the chairs I bought at Monkey Wards when they went out of business. They have nice stuff.

I like their stuff too. They'll finish it for you for a price or you can do it yourself.

I enjoy finishing furniture. It's easy to do and you can see the results quickly.

Thank you all for the good ideas. i stopped by Webbie's place. I am motivated to add something to one of my rooms. I really enjoy painting a small wall or basic piece of furniture. I agree refinishing can be easier than you think and fun. Thanks for the motivation. I like to do the painting outside so now is the perfect time.
