I guess I either have a poltergeist or bad wiring? There are three decorative light fixtures in my bathroom. They all come out of a piece of decorative wood afixed to the wall. Only one light is flickering. I screwed and unscrewed the bulb in it to see if it just wasn't in tight enough or was too tight. When I was messing with the bulb, it flickered more but it never fixed the problem. I guess something is wrong with the wiring?

Homeowner "heaven" my butt.

I need to lower the deck on my mower too but my father has the bolts in there so tight it would take a hydrolic machine to loosen them.

Did you put in a new (or non-flickering old) light bulb to see if it still flickered? It could be something that simple to check before messing with wiring or a new light.

Heather, the light is probably ok, just STOP BLINKING!

Will try that today. ty

I think if you put the light in the yard and mow over it, then you won't need to lower the deck...or probably need to loosen any bolts.

Of course, if it is a poltergeist, your local Jesuit priest can be of assistance, or an initiation to the "dark side".........................! biggrin.gif ♫♪♫♪♫

Just kidding, Heather! biggrin.gif

Sounds like you have electric leaking out around the light bulb because of a bad socket or a bad light bulb base. The bathroom is a very bad place for leaky electric stuff. I always hate going places with leaky electric stuff. I always get zapped. Static electricity my ass!!

Heather, Turn off the light first and take out the light bulb. Then get a (wooden) popcycle stick or something small enough to put in the bulb socket. Look in the socket you will see a little copper colored stem in the middle of the socket. Take the wooden stick and (gently) pry it up just a little. That is what makes the contact to the light buld. It my be to flat to make contact with the light bulb. Put bulb back in and see if that fixes the problem.

This suggestion was brought to you by The Alvin Heights Storm door and Out House company. US biggrin.gif

Did you ever get this resolved?
Heather
I've decided that it's fun, mood lighting.
