I've noticed I can't go back and edit old posts. I haven't pinned down the time period you have until you edit ability disappears. Can Admins or ModSquid shed any light on the this new policy. Or is it just operator error on my part?

No error. I see that too. Can't tell if it's timed or you simply lose the ability after someone else has posted a reply. they obviously changed the forum settings on purpose.

It must be a period of time that is a day or less.
So what gives?

Obviously they don't want pizzed off people deleting whole threads in anger.
I don't think we've had much trouble with people changing their posts much except to delete them.

I only edit my posts when I notice that I have spelling and punctuation errors.

I edit when I find mistakes or when I want to add more but don't want to create another post. I haven't noticed when editing has hurt anyone.

I'd say it's the deleting that's more of a problem. I only noticed the issue because I'm always going back and editing spelling and grammar. I guess not anymore, so sorry in advance!

Oh, man! Guess I'm gonna have to actually proof read before posting. I'm always editing spelling and grammar and typos after I post. No big deal to me.
Oh, changes, changes, changes.

Great question.

I thought so, but it appears as though the ability to edit is Time-boxed, as I can edit my posts from today, but not previous days.

I like you, Patton, but seriously. What are you trying to achieve by poking at the admins. It's their site, their rules, and we are free to stay or go as we want. This is, by far, one of the most liberally policed message boards I've ever seen, not including strictly adult sites, of course. The moderation here is really not that bad.

Keeping them on their toes. Complacency has no place.

I posted something at 6, it's now 6:53, and I can't edit, so that window may be pretty short. Just going to post another post instead then
