I'm not actually a book reader, preferring short info (US News & WR). However, my hubby is an avid reader and made me read this one. It has a lot of parallels to where I grew up, just substitute basketball for football. If you come from a small town where life revolves around HS sports, you will enjoy this.

I listened to this on tape going from Martinsburg to Charleston, and it was pretty good. There is some "truth" to it when you think about how much money goes to one sport, while the other sports suffer.
