I'm listening to this on TV as I write this. They say that an agreement has been made, "in principle", but no contract has been signed. But all signs seem to be pointing to YES!!!!!!

These past few years I've been reminiscing about the gool ol days of Gibbs, Jack Kent Cooke, and players like Art Monk, Dexter Manley, Darrell Green, Gary Clark, and I wonder to myself if the Redskins could ever be like that again. Of course those players are long gone, but I would LOVE to see Joe Gibbs back as head coach!!!! Maybe FedEx Field would start rockin like RFK did!!

It can only be an improvement to have Joe Gibbs back. Spurrier isn't totally at fault for the mess we're in - he can't make the players do what they won't do. It's not that they can't, it's that, for whatever reason, they won't.
But Joe Gibbs is a man of principles and ethics, and I think he will tell the players to shape up or ship out, and he will back it up with action. And if they decide to ship out, it's not really a big loss. I even think that Joe Gibbs can keep Dan Snyder in check.
I divorced the team the year that Deon Sanders was on it, and have never really gotten back into it, but I could really get back into it if Joe Gibbs was back. C'mon back, Joe. We love you!

Big deal!! Joe Gibbs can only do so much as coach with Snyder as the owner. As long as the Skins still have that clown at the healm, get use to the losing seasons. It's a shame how that team gets everyone's hopes up for next season, only to fall to pieces after about the first 3 games. Joe is great but Snyder has to go folks.

Oh, and don't forget my favorites, Charles Mann and Mark Mosely.

Oh my gosh! Those days of the Redskins were the best. I have given up watching them over the past few years, actually since Norv took over and things started going downhill. But when I heard that news this morning and got the old spark back! I sure hope he can make it work. It's been way too long.

I was just saying to my friend last week when Spurrier quit, "too bad we can't get Joe Gibbs back!"

I think the days of the good Redskins are over for at least a few years. I just hope the Orioles can get back on track.

As long as he's not as senile as my boss who's the same age.
