First, I think it is wonderful this person won, heck I think it is wonderful when any person wins the lottery.

Why is CNN pushing a lottery winner to the top of it's page? Because he is a "Katrina" Victim? What about the rest of them. To me this rubs their noses in it.

Stupid, stupid Communist News Network.

He lost 2 homes, moved into a third, owns a Co. He may put some to good use.

It appears from the article, that he will.

I just think it's a "feel good" story. I wouldn't fault CNN for pushing this to the top of their page. In a world of disaster, destruction, war, murders, and other monstrosities, sometimes it's refreshing to read something good in the news. smile.gif

Then why not say Man from _______ wins Lottery. Don't push the fact that it was a Katrina "survivor".
SMan
Because the Katrina angle makes the story a little more unique than the dozens of other big lottery winners every year.
Patton
Or the Katrina angle, is shameless exploitation.
SMan
Or you're looking for the dark cloud to go with this silver lining.
Patton
Nope I think it is wonderful the guy won the money.
Udmas
WOW, someone actually won the lottery, and here I thought the lottery was just a scam.
