This new save engine(?) called the Notemark.

I'm looking at the thing on another tab, and I still don't understand what it does.( I know...DUH)
What does it actually do?
Does it replace my Windows or something?
The explanation doesn't really tell me( a non techie) anything IMO.
Is it just a another little icon at the top of my window's page where the rest of the stuff is?
From what I can tell from the "animation", it's always visable?, there in the way? so that if I see a link or pic I can just drag it to this thing thats always there in the way?

What IS this thing?

Is it something specifically on the H-M website? There have been no software upgrades for the forum program.

Since working as a Sys Admin, I understand and have seen first hand some of the tools employed for "snooping".

There is no "snooping" here. A small cookie is placed on your computer as a convenience to remember where what topics you've read. At anytime, you can delete that cookie from the main page of the forum.

Google, Amazon, Myspace, and other frequently accessed sites gather much more information.

Apparently WVDragonlady has downloaded and installed a program onto her computer called "Notemark".

Since this question has nothing to do with the H-M site, I'm moving it to Computer/Tech forum.

It's on the main page of the HM's site. And I didn't download it yet. I wanna know what it's for first. It's from the herald mail and on thier web site, so that why I put this topic here.
Now I'm confused. Just what is suppose to be in the website thread? I thought stuff ( read: anything) pertaining to the HM's website was to go there.

It looks like something to quickly save photos and text snippets from web pages to a little clipboard thingy.
