I may have posted something like this in the past, but what the heck...

What are your albums that you can listen to start to finish, enjoying every track without skipping? Best Of's do not count. Maybe I'm weird that I don't own too many CDs that meet this criteria. I always find a couples songs I hate, even if I love the band. Here's mine from a quick peek through my collection.

Slippery When Wet - Bon Jovi....don't give me any sass about this one! tongue.gif

OK Computer - Radiohead....almost too hip for me on a couple tracks, but I dig it as a whole body of work.

Shake Your Money Maker - The Black Crowes
.....too bad they became whacked out stoners on the rest of their work.

Appetite for Destruction - Guns and Roses.....my high school soundtrack.

...And Justice For All - Metallica
.....holy crap this album still kicks butt!

Brand New Man - Brooks and Dunn
....I quit listening to new country probably 10 years ago, but still break this out every couple months.

Great thread, SMan! This should be interesting.

I also have a ton of great albums with one or two skippable songs, but not too terribly many that I love the entire way through. I guess I'd go with:

Grandaddy - "Sumday"

Postal Service - "Give Up"

Guster - "Keep it Together" (I actually get sad by the time I get to the third-to-last song, because I know it's almost over)

Ben Folds Five - "Whatever and Ever Amen"

Soul Coughing - "El Oso"

Richard Butler - "Richard Butler"

I'll probably think of other obvious ones I missed in the middle of the night tonight....bear with me, please. rolleyes.gif
Heather
Marilyn Manson, Antichrist Superstar
White Zombie's Super Sexy Swingin' Sounds
Prince Parade, 1999, Sign O the Times and New Power Soul
Korn, Life is Peachy and the self titled CD
Natalie Merchant, Tigerlily
Cinderella, Long Cold Winter
Pantera, Vulgar Display of Power

I think there's one of Alice in Chains and at least one of Zeppelin but I don't know where my box sets are in this messy house. I'd have a whole bunch if greatest hits were allowed. I can't believe I couldn't find one Madonna where I don't skip a song but it's true.

Oh man, I forgot Purple Rain. Duh. rolleyes.gif

Wow! Most of my cds have instrumental songs that I have to skip.

Any Guns N' Roses I can listen to the entire way through

The first Stone Sour CD

Life is Peachy from Korn

Dirt from Alice in Chains

The Crusade from Trivium

That's probably about it. Does that mean these are my REAL favorite bands?

Watched Idol for the first time this season -- my daughter likes it. I am a bit unimpressed the last few weeks -- I think the quality of the songs done has gone down instead of up. But each one has a certain niche I think they will be successful in to some degree.

Presidents of the United States - self-titled

I used to know that CD backwards and forwards. I would have put it on this list years ago, along with RHCP Blood Sugar Sex Magik, but I wore those two out so much that I can't bare them anymore, even after all these years.
BMIC
Pink Floyd - "Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall".
