CleverName and I had lunch at the Peach Pub on Friday. We were out in the street yelling "Strungout!" to see if he wanted to join us, but with everyone looking at us funny we couldn't tell if he was one of them.

Anyway, I had a cheese steak and she had a chicken caesar salad. My cheese steak was okay. Not bad, not terrific. We shared an order of cheese sticks, they were your typical frozen and fried cheese sticks. She didn't like her salad or deep-fried croûtons, but I'll leave that up to her.

The place was packed so I was worried about service, but it was really quick! Overall, it's just your average bar food; good enough for a quick lunch or to have with a few drinks. I'll go again.

Er, yeah, about that salad..... unsure.gif it wasn't very good. The croutons tasted exactly like french fries, but were greasier. huh.gif However, the cheese sticks were good and like Coma said, his sandwich was okay. i'll give it another shot when I'm feeling "bad" and wanting some carbs. Our waitress was very friendly and provided great service. I was glad to see many of the tables occupied and hope the place does well.

If I'm looking for a good salad, I'll stick with my absolute downtown favorite, the grilled chicken caesar salad at Bentley's (I don't know how they do it, but there's a ton of juicy, falling-apart chicken on top, flavorful and hot out of the oven). Or my second favorite, Steve California Chicken Salad at The Plum.

Love me a good salad!!!!

Yoo hoo, Strungout? Have you been to the Peach Pub yet, and if so, what are your thoughts on the place?

darn indeed! the salad would've been immensely more satisfying, no doubt. though coma would've been out of luck on the cheesesteak front!
