Would I become terribly unpopular on here if I agreed with him?? After all, I really wanted to immigrate to England, where I have some family, a few years ago; but because of custody orders, and because I care about my children and do not want them to live as fugitives, I didn't do it. Even though it meant being alone here in this country. And.....if I have a baby in Japan, does my baby get dual citizenship and do I get a free pass to stay there because I had a baby there???? I think not! Unless I learn Japanese, get a truly fabulous job there, and have something wonderful to add to their community that no one else can add, and PAY TAXES. Unless I meet all those conditions, why would I expect to stay there? Not trying to be hard-nosed, but............

Not unpopular in my book, Siriun. His methods may be unorthodox but I agree with him as well. Immigrants should go through the proper routes to be here; if the punishment is unpleasant enough (love the pink uniforms!) then it becomes a successful deterrent. I know that's un-PC of me, too, but there you go.

Seems like a good guy. He tells it like it is, straight up. Of course he is hated by all of the incorrectly-called "immigrants rights" organized crime groups.

If we could convince him to move over here maybe he would bring CASA of Maryland up on the RICO charges they should be facing.

Im anxious for some facts on this one.

I like the guy & agree with what he stands for... I would much rather see a criminal eat PB&J everyday, sweat it out in the hot sun digging holes & moving rocks while wearing pink undies & uniforms for commiting their crimes than sit in an air conditioned cell, getting 3 hot meals, playing cards & watching cable!

They give illegal aliens all sorts of tips on how to avoid detection and get benefits that are supposed to be reserved for citizens.

That makes them accessories and an organization whose main focus is the promotion of criminal illegal aliens. You couldn't ask for a much better definition of "organized crime".

Interesting BMIC, I never realized that.

CASA of Md's Home Page: http://www.casademaryland.org/

from that page:

QUOTE
CASA of Maryland is a community organization that was founded in 1985 by Central American refugees and North Americans. CASA was created in response to the human needs of the thousands of Central Americans arriving to the D.C. area after fleeing wars and civil strife in their countries of origin.

Their Vision:

QUOTE
CASA's vision is for strong, economically and ethnically diverse communities in which all people – especially women, low-income people, and workers – can participate and benefit fully, regardless of their immigration status.
siriunsun
That's very true, Modsquad. While back in the 80's, Central American countries were very difficult places to live and still continue to be; and while their(CASA'S) vision for all to participate and benefit equally is good, encouraging others to disobey the law is...well.......unlawful. Especially when CASA'S clients are not citizens yet but hopeful.........what kind of an example of how to be a good citizen does that set and what kind of a message does that send? That, and the fact that bona fide American citizens with needs "slip through the cracks" on a regular basis while waiting in line behind people who don't truly have a right to be here kinda makes me really agree with BMIC a whole lot on this one! This may be one of, perhaps, two times, that I have agreed with him, Modsquad! biggrin.gif

They are outspoken advocates of illegal aliens. They have been in the news many times for their activities in support of illegal aliens. If all you look at is their own web site, of course you're going to miss the truth. Really funny that you think posting their own propaganda is at all helpful - but then again it is!

The part saying "regardless of their immigration status" is the telling part - that clearly shows they support illegals in their efforts to avoid prosecution. That makes them accessories to crime and an organization that promotes crime. RICO prosection time. And it should be pretty easy since they don't go to much if any lengths to hide their support of those who are intentionally violating our immigration laws.

For some reason they seem to be the only ones who don't "get" the fact that most LEGAL immigrants , who have taken the time and made the effort to become naturalized United States citizens, deeply resent the presence of illegals who are cheating criminals disobeying and disrespecting the rule of law.

Funny how people get all upset about a City Councilwoman not getting a speeding ticket, and yet some of the same people would sit back and ask that immigration crimes be ignored.

Relax BMIC, I was agreeing with you. I posted the site reference in support of your remark. That's why I bolded what I did.

Sorry if you misunderstood my point.

I apologize in advance for what may be a stupid question, but, isn't there also another organization in the area called CASA which assists victims of domestic abuse, and provides "safe houses" for women and children in danger from violent boyfriends/husbands?
