CULVER CITY -- A Los Angeles woman is suing lingerie-maker Victoria's Secret, claiming she was injured by one of the company's defective thongs.

Macrida Patterson, 52, says she was attempting to try on the thong when a decorative metallic piece flew off the garment and struck her in the eye.

Patterson says Victoria's Secret is at fault for the injury she received last month because the product was "defective."

Patterson's attorney, Jason Buccat, chalked the problem up to a "design error."

The garment in question is called the "low-rise v-string" from the Victoria's Secret Sexy Little Thing line.

Patterson said the defective underwear caused her permanent corneal damage, and that she had to miss several days of work to get it treated.

Her attorney said the injury will affect Patterson for the rest of her life.

Victoria's Secret requested to examine the underwear that caused the injury, but Patterson's attorney denied the request.

That skanky woman is defective. You do not "try on" pannies of any sort. It's a "you break 'em you bought 'em" product. How would you feel about wearing a thong that has already been up some stranger's ass crack? I bet she sprayed a toilet seat before she tried them on.

Ladies, boil your pannies after purchasing.

Let’s hope they don't ask her in court to show how the "accident" happened. Can you imagine being the courtroom for that? "If it doesn't fit you have too acquit" comes to mind. That would be my defense if I was the lawyer for Victoria's Secret.

That would be the funniest thing ever. Gross but funny. Who tries on underwear? I can see it going to a jury's hand, I mean thought's, then looking at the defective evidence. Gross.....

hmmm, I watched it twice...hehe. Did the thing truly explode in the store?? I dont think so. Her attorney will not let them look at it so they have it. I'm pretty sure she bought it before she stretched it over her big azz. The little metal thingie went flying sorta like a paperwad and a rubber band...

Interesting. Let's look at this from another side. Had this been Cindy Crawford, or some other super-model, would we still be disgusted or would we be like: Heck yeah, sue the panties off Victoria.

This would be one event in my life that I did not share with others.

I'm flabbergasted. Who the hell tries on a thong? You just hold 'em up, scrutinize them and envision yourself inside, pay your money and take your chances they're gonna fit. It's not like shopping for BRAS where perfect fit is much more obvious beneath your clothing. And if you get home and find out that the thong is too uncomfortable, well, you just push them to the back of the underwear drawer and pull them out when all your good-fitting panties are dirty and it's either wear the uncomfy ones or go commando.

Just sayin'.

i just watched the video. She must have used them as a slingshot of somthing, i can't imagine how something would just fly off your thong into your eye. She was obviously doing something else with them. Maybe a safer option for her would be those huge grandma panties that you pull up to your ears.
