If there's one thing that really irritates me, it's my neighbors walking their dogs and letting them pee and do their business in our yard! I don't care if they clean it up or not, it turns the grass yellow. What is wrong with these inconsiderates. These people have their own yards. Let them go there will you! huh.gif

My pet peeve is when some calls you, and you tell them that they have the WRONG number, and they call back TWICE for you to tell them that they STILL have the WRONG number.

That's my rant for today biggrin.gif

My pet peeve is spoiled step kids whose bio-parent has been deceased long enough for them not to remember and who don't want to clean their rooms or put their dirty clothing in the clothes hamper with everyone else's dirty clothing because they feel their bio-parent would never have required this! Also step kids who wish to shoot paint balls at living rooms walls and complain to their therapists when forced to clean up because the bio-parent would never have had a prob with this....not at all! biggrin.gif

People that move out to the 'burbs and insist on installing high wattage security lights that they leave on all night, shining into their neighbor's windows.

They scared of the dark?

They might be scared of the dark, Mod. My Dad's silly second wife was........get ready for this.......scared of the MOON when we moved from Washington DC to Mt. Airy Md. in 1972. The woman had always lived in the north, mostly in urban areas, before meeting my Dad, and never did adjust to life South of New Jersey........but living in Mt. Airy, and having the light of the moon out the window during a full moon was almost too much for her! biggrin.gif

Right...especially those people that refuse to move over on the interstate when it's safe to do so to allow the merging vehicles the courtesy of entering the highway safely.

laugh.gif Well, actually, I was wanting feedback on pets doing their business in someone else's yard. LOL (PET Peeve).

I guess that I should have titled it Animal Rights, (no wait a minute, that wouldn't have worked either!) unsure.gif How about the grass is always greener.....(No, that wouldn't work either!)

Perhaps had this been placed in the Noah's Ark thread concerning animals, people may have understood your intent.

I don't like when neighbors blast music that has a lot of bass at all hours of the day and night, though it only seems to happen when the parents leave, but that IS all hours of the day and night.

I get irate over drivers who 1) don't use turn signals, 2) don't know what "yield" means, and 3) don't stay in their own lane, but drive with two wheels over the center line.

Sometimes there's not a lot you can do about it. I give my dogs plenty of opportunity to pee in our yard before walks. And I can walk them in the middle of the street as much as possible. But if I have to move to the side (because of a passing car or whatnot), there's not a lot I can do to stop my dog from lifting his leg. The only other option is to never walk him... in which case every time he's in my yard he'll bark like crazy from lack of exercise... which I'm sure is just as disturbing to my neighbors.

Back on subject,
When I walk my dog he goes in a empty field up from our house. Then we take him around the street.

When your neighbors assume the worse without knowing the facts.
When your neightbors butt into your business without knowing you or the facts.

It's one thing when they know and do it on purpose, it's anothing thing when they don't realize it. I'll bet you'd be surprised at how many people had no idea that they were irritating you. IF you said a kind word about it, they might understand better and have more consideration.

I know, I know. Most of y'all prolly don't give a crap either way. I'm just sayin'. Some people have come to me and said something about my annoying behavior and a lot of it - I didn't even realize I was doing it! And a small percentage of it, I said, "yeah I'll work on that rolleyes.gif ."

Speak up or get used to it!

I have a male friend that does impressions of my normal speaking voice and when he does it, it sounds like annoying bursts from a high-octive non-existant woodwind instrument. Someone else once said I'm high-pitched and too mumbly. They said I was like Beeker from the Muppets. rolleyes.gif

Heather......I have told some of them very nicely, and it only made it worse. Honest. Now they will even walk them way up into the yard to chit chat with me and let their dogs do it right in front of me. What's with that? Sometimes I just don't understand people. blink.gif

Since this is PET peeves, not "pet peeves", I've got one to share.

It's very annoying to walk my dog in an area that requires dogs to be on a leash (in particular, the towpath), and I've got MY dog on a leash, but then some people come down the trail and their dogs are NOT on any sort of leash. And they have three of them, two of which are waaaaay out in front of the owners so when the first dog comes right on up to my leashed dog, no owner in sight, and gets right in his face, well, my dog's kind of freaked out about it. They're not on a level playing field -- the other dog is free and easy and my dog is restrained -- and it puts my dog in what I guess you could call a socially inferior position. Then the SECOND loose dog comes up and now he's got two strange, large, unsupervised animals rooting around in his rear end. mad.gif And then finally the people show up and they're all friendly and laughing about it, third dog wandering close at their heels, like there's nothing whatsoever wrong with what they're doing. And this is at 2:00 on a beautiful Sunday afternoon when the towpath is simply dogtacular. WTF? I don't give a damn if you feel like, awww, it's so mean to keep my sweet little adorable Fido on a leash, he should be free to scamper and frolic wherever he needs to. Bullsh*t!!!! Be a responsible dog owner and LEASH YOUR ANIMAL IF IT'S REQUIRED BY THE PARK YOU'RE VISITING. There are signs that tell you all dogs have to be on a leash. And these were grownups who should've had better sense. dry.gif It was all we could do not to bitch-slap 'em.

End of rant. Next!

I totally, completely, 100% agree.

I also just love the neighbors who walk their dogs in our neighborhood at 6am on a Sunday morning therefore having every dog that's kept ourside barking and waking everyone up. How insensitive and arrogant. As.h.les!

Have y'all run into Deacon!? I don't think he's one that you've bitched about because he's singular and he's only unleashed on the toe path if no one else is around, (and he obeys from straying out of sight and if someone or something is near, he obeys to come back also-for a leash). He's walked on the toe path a lot. My parents always raised ferocious dogs and this time they've tried to socialize this one. If another dog is around though, he's always put back on the leash.

I get what you're saying though. With our others dogs, like I said, they weren't nice. 15 years ago we walked three a-hole dogs with attitudes down the toe path regularly. All three German Shepherds were tethered tightly around three separate wrists IF other people/dogs were around.

We're strolling along chatting, smelling trees, lifting legs, tongues lolling - then someone's happy-go-lucky pounce-o-joy bounds down the toe path towards us. Some people don't realize that not every dog wants to play and sniff butts. A lot of the time we had to shove away/play interference with the other dogs while chanting the NO-mantra to our dogs whilst we're trying to walk in the gutter off to the side of the toe path.
