I've been a vegetarian living in Hagerstown for about 8 years now and it isn't easy. The view of vegetarians in our area is usually somewhat myopic. If I have read the Guidelines correctly, one should not advertise for personal gain. Not sure if this fits that category or not, but, just wanted to give a bit of friendly advice.

Good for you and your vegan ways. I have many friends who are vegans and enjoy dining with them.

Welcome to the forums hamrthroer. There are a few of our members who are vegans, who would probably be very interested in your blog, and discussing points of interest with you.

Being a vegan in H-town has got to be tough. There are several here in the forums that will probably be glad you posted the link and glad to give you any advice they might have. If you check in the restaurant section I believe there were a couple of recommendations for vegan friendly spots

It is tough but rewarding. Maybe this post could be the start of a Vegetarian section in the forums. Maybe wishfull thinking. Thanks for the info.

I went to the very first meeting, but was never able to make it back. Life got in the way... and then I added fish back into my diet anyway.

Anyhoo... there's a lot more for veg*ns in H-town now than there was just a few years ago.
