What did you lose that has been replaced recently? I dropped my iPod in saltwater and I just got my new one yesterday!

I lose a few pounds during the week, but then always find it by Sunday evening.

I'm getting really good at it.

I guess you could say I lost my computer keyboard because my cat chewed the wire and I couldn't type anything. Just now replaced it. Wireless keyboard and mouse. I guess he'll just pick a new wire to chew now.

Ya know that happened to my car a few years ago...a gopher chewed the wire and the car wouldn't start.

I lost my old back porch Saturday. With the help of two friends, ripped it off and replaced all the joists and some sub-framing, and replaced it with pine tounge & groove. All accomplished in one day. Woohoo me!! Now I just have to paint it.

Naughty Bishop!!

I really think he's just mad because he's on a diet. He shreds the toilet paper and bites my ankles too. Friggin' fur monster.

He's just looking for alternative means of nutrition now that you've cut the calorie count.

I lost the old railroad ties that I had used for landscaping. Even though the landfill wouldn't take them.

Why wouldn't the landfill take them?

Because of the creosote that they are treated with, go figure. Millions of them all over the world under railroad tracks, but you can't take 6 to the landfill. It was a very "DUH" moment I thought.

Did they tell you what you are supposed to do with them?

Why yes, glad you asked, the direct quote from the county employee was, "I don't know, call the damn railroad. You can take everything else up to the pit, but they had better be on the trailer when you come back over the scales." I thought it was professional, don't you?

Very professional.
I'll have to remember to make sure and cover up any railroad ties I take to the dump.
I've taken dump truck loads of trash to the landfill and have never been asked what specifically was in the truck.

Now just how professional do you want someone that works at a dumb to be?
Just kidding.
Ud, you've never been asked what's in the truck because it probably looks normal, railroad ties are big and obvious

I wonder if it says ties aren't allowed on their website. I know that old AC's and appliances have special rules, but I think they are allowed, just costs more.

They can't see into the bed of the dump truck, it's up to high and it's covered, so they must not be to concerned because they have never asked.
I could have a whole load of railroad ties in there and they wouldn't know it.

Unfortunately we had to put them on a trailer, and the rest of what we had really didn't cover them up. But hey they're gone now.
