So... What does summer mean to you? What is your favorite thing to do in the summer? Travel? R&R? Concerts?

I would have to say I love hot summer nights that have just a hint of a breeze... Quiet & dark with a starry sky that I can look up into while I drink a cold, cold beer & listen to the crickets... I know it's lame - but it's one of my favorite things about summer!

Fav Summer Pastime? Not Shivering.

Didn't know that the Artic Zone had a sub-station on South Mountain.

Jels - high in the thin, cold air...shivering, wearing sweats over long johns, fluffy socks, sweatshirt and sweater...not a pretty sight, while the menfolk wander around in jeans and t's.

This middle-aged island body is NOT genetically able to withstand the cold.

LOL! Be glad you don't have to deal with HOT FLASHES!!! I'd take the cold any day over those d@mn things!!! Feels like my face is just gonna melt off of my body!

ANOTHER 'not pretty sight' = Jels outside on the back deck, topless, waving her bonbons in the air trying to cool off.

Did the menopause thing in my late 30's.

Cooking on the grill
Drinking a cold one every evening on the deck.

Having a cold one
Going to dirt races at area tracks.
Having a yep cold one
Other than that nuthing.

McGee... I think having a cold one would be one of your favorite pastimes no matter WHAT the season!

Floating in my pool at night, looking up at the stars. I live out in the country where there are no street lights, so the stars are extra pretty. And of course, there's often a "cold one" (or two) involved.

That sounds like fun. I watched the moon rise last night from my pier. It was awesome. Gonna do it again tonight. Easily one of my most favorite things to do anytime of year.

Skinny-dipping after dark in the pool

Listening to the bugs at night

Catching that wave of nostalgia when I smell a grill going and think of childhood cookouts

Another smell -- the coconut suntan lotion smell

Getting to work quicker because there aren't any school buses on Rt. 11!
