Hubby has a sty in the corner of his eye (my oh my it is a great big sty) sorry sounded funny. But seriously anyone have a suggestion like hot compresses or any type of home remedy. I have heard about this stuff called Sty wash and some sty ointments BUT before I buy it I want to know if it is worth it and that it works. Anyone used any of these and did they work?

That's not something you really want to mess with yourself, in my opinion. It's possible it may not be a sty, but something entirely different like keratitis (not sure of the spelling, but it's an inflamation of the cornea, and related to the herpes simplex --cold sore--virus), or conjunctivitis.
Sorry I didn't answer what you asked, but of all the senses I think sight is the most important.

I had a sty for the first time about a month or so ago. It was a little painful, but more bothersome than anything. I held a warm compress on it for about 5 minutes, it felt better, and then it started to clear up the next day. My recommendation is a warm compress and a few days, which should clear it right up. OH! Almost forgot.... tell your husband he can't wear any eye makeup for a few days!

Thanks for your input. Hubby has been doing the hot compresses and using this "Sty" ointment for itching/burning relief. It's not gone yet but it is on its way.

My sister in law totally believes in using a warm tea bag. Says to put it on for a few minutes a couple times a day.

I've heard of the tea bag, too. Not sure if it works... But it's worth a try. I always heard if you got a sty in your eye, it meant that you peed someplace you weren't supposed to...
You husband been watering other people's flowers or somethin'???
