If you have installed SP3 (Service Pack 3) make sure your Windows Updates are still working whether they are manual or automatic. If they are failing since the SP3 update here are good instructions to fix the problem. I have find out through updating several XP computers the Windows update seems to be broken after SP3. Just wanted to give people a heads up.

One, to be on the safe side, should never allow auto updates until they have been tried for a few months.
