In the upcoming Federal elections, are you looking for candidates who will, in general, provide more government controls, laws, regulations, social programs, etc. or one who will, in general, provide less of those things? Why?
I'm just curious.
I kinda figure that in general the less government does, the better. If a candidate is accused of being a "do nothing" candidate, to me that's not necessarily bad.

Final score... Clinton

-$482 billion.
Add in another $400 billion in war costs, which isn't even in the budget numbers, and Clinton wins by a cool trillion dollars. That's
trillion...

$1,000,000,000,000.Whoever gets elected they can't possibly do worse than Bush.

If there is more governmental control I see it being like schools are. The government will step in and tell you what to do every time there is a problem. Things will have to meet higher and higher standards or else they are going to be under governmental control.
If people wanted less government control they would vote for Ron Paul. I don't see that happening.
I don't want any institution that is trillions of dollars in debt running anything that I know of.
Less.

I'm not claiming that the dems are more frugal than the reps. But compared to the last 8 years, 6 of which the reps ran the whole show, EVERYONE is frugal. Now that Bush has set the standard God help us when the dems get in.

I'm sorry I didn't realize being a republican meant I agree with everything a president I voted for does. I posted before that I agree with republicans on some issues and not on others. I didn't mean this post to be hostile by the way, it kind of sounds like it's coming off that way, but I don't feel like editing
