I'm a Skins fan born and raised, the addition of Jason Taylor is a big help, and if they could add John Lynch from Denver (now that he is leaving) that would be huge. I still think at best though they will go 9-7.
I'm tired of hearing about Brett Favre and I don't care where he goes. Just cut him loose already and let him play somewhere else.
Peyton Manning had knee surgery; will it effect him this year? Maybe? The knee could become a target for defense lines all over the league.
Anybody else?

I think the Skins will have a pretty decent offense... defense, I'm no so sure of. Jason Taylor is still one of the best DE in the league, but he's not playing on the right side anymore, so it will be tougher for him to get to the QB. Their DBs are what scare me though.
Defensive lines have been trying to get to Peyton his whole career. He doesn't get sacked much because he gets rid of the ball and he's had a pretty good o-line. Should be interesting to see what the o-line is like this year without a couple vets. Still, Peyton is probably the smartest QB in the league with one of the strongest arms.
I think the Packers are in a no-win situation. Rodgers deserves a chance but he's still unproven. If he has a string of bad games, and he will at some point, the fans will be chanting for Favre. I just don't think you can replace a guy like Favre so easily. He's still a gunslinger, he can move, and he's got the experience. So he throws a few picks? He also makes BIG plays and he's not washed up. I'm sorry but you don't start an unproven QB over one that is still healthy and playing well. Brett should show up to camp and force them to release him or trade him to a team in the NFC North, which is obviously where he wants to be. Brett is in the better position here, so I think GB is going to have to give him what he wants. My bet is he ends up in the NFC North although I wouldn't be surprised to see him with GB, but unless amends are made and Favre is the lock for the starting job, there's too much friction there for anyone to be comfortable imo.
I'm going to the Ravens camp on Monday. Maybe they'll let me try out for QB.

The Boyz will be in the Bowl, and win it.

I'm am all jazzed up already about NFL season. I'm a Cowboys fan and have been ravenously consuming the daily training camp reports. I can't get enough and it's only freakin' training camp!
I have to admit though that expectations may be too much for the 'boys. The NFC East has once again become the toughest division in football. I hope the Cowboys run roughshod through the division, but the Giants are the SB champs, the Eagles have reloaded (except for WR....I could cover the #1 receiver Reggie Brown), and the Redskins are steadily improving.

I've been a Cowboys fan going back to the days of "Dandy Don" Meredith. Cowboys.com is my homepage. I watch every press conference online and have Direct TV and Sunday Ticket just to watch the Boyz. I'm psyched for this season.

I don't really think who he dates has much to do with it.
Romo is a likable guy, he's just got to make the next leap from a capable QB to a really good QB.

As a skins fan I can honestly say I'd take Romo over any QB on our roster in a heartbeat! That said he is a good QB thats been putting up good stats but until he can win a playoff game he is NOT a great qb. As a matter of fact Jason campbell has won just as many playoff games with far less to work with.

Agree, that's why Romo has been my starting fantasy QB for the past two years. Great regualr season stats, and I don't have to worry about him in the post season.

I can think of several QBs who put up great regular seasons stats every year, but had the knock on them that they couldn't win in the playoffs. Peyton Manning and John Elway come to mind and I think they turned out OK.

It will happen for Romo. And to add on to what Samy said, there's probably less than 5 NFL teams who wouldn't be improved with Romo at the helm. The Redskins are not one of them.
When it comes to the Cowboys, I'm way more concerned about the entire team's lackadaisical collapse the past two Decembers than I am Romo's individual performance in the post season.

How about
this crap?
Panthers WR receiver Steve Smith dots CB Ken Lucas in the eye, causing him to be carted off the field. Both players were booted from practice. I had no idea Steve Smith was such a hot head. Must be
Short Man Syndrome.

Well I guess last night was the only time the Skins will ever beat the Colts.

Seriously, everyone looked decent, and I was impressed with Brennan.
