Have you analyzed the Patriot Act for yourself?

I've read the Patriot Act, and have relied on Tom Brokaw to translate it for me. From what I hear it's an invasion of privacy, the gov't shouldn't be able to see what books I check out or who I get mail from.

I'm intimately familiar with certain parts of it which are very good and do indeed serve to reduce the risk of a terrorist attack without unduly burdening theose affected.

On the other hand most of the press has had to do with many elements which are indeed a serious invasion of privacy and border on being unconstitutional. One thing we must not do is allow the terrorists to force us to abandon the commitments to freedom, liberty, and justice which characterize our Great Nation.
