Shepherd College may become Shepherd State University, but WVU and Marshall are trying to block it so that they remain the only public universities in the state. As much as I love WVU, the only reason that they're doing this is because Shepherd is a lot better academically than WVU. With our idiot leaders in Charleston, this probably won't happen.

It would just be so good for Shepherd if they could become a university, and also for the whole Eastern Panhandle.

The paper will become worthless and you will be forced to spend more years and money to re-attain your degree. You will lose your job because you will be unqualified. You will be forced to eat stale pizza and ramen, your girlfriend will leave you, and your life will be ruined.

The legislature in Charleston just passed Bill 445 which changes Shepherd, Farimont, Concord, and West Virginia State from colleges to universities.
