"I am calling about the pocketbook that was taken out of the car in front of Goodwill on Wednesday, I would like to have my keys and my wallet and my personal things. Call Mail Call."
I thought this was just too funny to pass up!

Call the cops, not the newspaper! The crook is probably illiterate, anyway!

Yea, that was a pretty good one! I agree with the callers about mom's having to report where the money does go for child support. I had to account for every penny for my son because he'd get SSI every month. Once a year I'd have fill out a form and send it back. Wasn't that hard a thing to have to do. The one caller about the construction in the same place for the same thing got a chuckle from me too. It's so true!!

I too think mother's should have to report where their child support money goes, the money is supposed to be for the children not for the mother or father.

I pay support every month (my ex has one kid and I have the other, for the majority of the time, and I earn more than she), but I don't need to have her counting every penny of it, much less having to give an accounting of it - how nasty! She and I are on very good terms, but I'm not sure she would be so nice, if she had to deal with this nonsense.
It seems to me that such a thing would cause more problems than it would solve.
More on topic: yes the callers to Mail Call are pretty entertaining sometimes. I check it out every day. you never know what kind of boneheaded thing somebody's going to come up with! On the other hand, some of them do get you thinking about things you wouldn't otherwise. Some of them get you riled up though - we could do without those.
