If you have ever attempted to do a geneology of your family you know how frustrating it can be to hit so many dead ends. I have been looking for a friend of mine that I served in Vietnam with in 1966. Their were a core group of us that were pretty close. out of the six of us we have been able to locate three. The difficult part of this is that the name we arre most frusted in traking down is a very common name. Richard (Ricky) E. Miller from Hagerstown Maryland. This is like looking for Smith in England. My friend and I have searched obotuaries, high school reunions, etc. We have made many contacts and new friends but still have had no success. I thought I would try this forum and see what the results may be.
I welcome any helpful suggestions.

Have you tried the AMVETS Clubs?,How about the V A Center down here in WV? Or the VFW's?Amrican Leigions? I know that a data base is being done for WWII could there posiably be one for Vietnam? You know like maybe some where near the WALL?Dunno. unsure.gif

Hubby's Legion and VFW magazines always have "looking for comrades" listings in them. My former father-in-law was a P.O.W. in Germany, and he found some of his campmates thru those sources.

If you're willing to spend a little money, try Autotrack.

Good luck.
