The Simple Life 2 appears tonight at 8 on FOX. I'm thinking this one might be funnier than the first since they're going on a road trip from Miami to Beverly Hills.

What happened, I was unable to watch it last night. How does it compare to the first?

I've never watched the show, partially because it doesn't interest me in the least, and partially because no matter how stupid these two girls act, I get up at 3:30 AM, and I'm not going to waste needed beauty sleep for THAT.

From the commercials I've seen, those two girls are naive and spoiled. They're just acting, right - nobody can REALLY be like that, can they?

Saw it last night: it sucked!

It seems to me that for this set of episodes, they've chosen to focus on appealing to prurient interests, and have downplayed the "fish out of water" incidents that were so comical in the first series. That, and so much of it was obviously faked/staged - I just didn't get the sense that it was as realistic as it used to be.

I've seen enough blurred-out butt crack and closeups of Paris in her bikini to last a liftetime. I'm definitely NOT going to go out of my way to watch again!

The old guy in the chaps showing his butt was funny. When the girls lost that child they were babysitting -- I really would love to see the real unedited reaction of the parents.

So far, the first two episodes weren't as good as last season's. So far just showing a lot more skin (nothing wrong with that) and showing how rude Nicole can be.

Bummed money.
Ordered room service and charged it to the room they were suppost to clean.Called the front desk and said that their room needed
maid service and cleaned (the room they were to clean).

Ya know, for a bunch of dumb girls, they sure do come up with some crafty ways of getting out of doing their duties. Although, I'm sure half of the things they do are encouraged by the producers anyway, to keep it interesting.

Nicole Richie was on Howard Stern yesterday and every other phrase out of her mouth was "that was hot!" They've since made a sound byte out of it and have been replaying it repeatedly... it's funny.

And, one of them was on a show last week (Paris I think, but I forget which show) and said that it is indeed scripted and they just sort of ad-lib through the script.

If they have to post the disclaimers they do before the show starts, then it ought not to be shown until after 10 pm. I thought there was an FCC rule that basically says so. Time to file a complaint. Let the perverts watch it after the kids are in bed!
