All the summer television repeats are starting up again, except for Fox with their wacky year round debuting of new shows. I don't get to watch too much television, but when I do, what's out there that's worth watching? I had a couple shows keep my interest this year.

- Deadwood on HBO. Outstanding writing. Even if you don't like westerns, this series is worth the price of HBO.

- The Shield on FX. This show gets better every year.

- Arrested Developement on Fox. A great new comedy that breaks out of the cookie cutter molds of most sitcoms. I was actually shocked that Fox renewed it given their history of cancelling good shows.

What am I missing?

Has anybody else seen Nip/Tuck? That's one disturbing show.

I watched the Nip/Tuck 2nd season premier last night.I only caught the last 30 minutes.
I watched about half of last season on and off.I have a question where/how did the one doctor get a African American baby?

WVU-M I did find it disturbing when the one doctor slept with the old lady. blink.gif

Greedy - don't worry about missing it, FX will probably show it approx. 37 times this week in repeats, if you inclined to watch it again.

Reno 911! Comedy Channel, 10:30pm Wednesday. (and various other times during the week). They just started their new season.

Probably the best police comedy since Barney Miller.

I saw FX pimpin' a new show last night "Rescue Me" starring my hero Denis Leary.
I don't think Denis can pull off the drama...He had a cop show that didn't last too
long.

I can't believe you spelled his first name right! That's rare. Denis is my man. Have you heard the CD "Lock N Load"? CRACKS ME UP! biggrin.gif

The Denis Leary comedy The Job was my favorite cop comedy. They occassionally still show it on Comedy Central.

Edit: to spell his first name correctly

I've watched it on and off for the first season, and it's so disturbing it's interesting. What disturbed me the most was Sean's son hitting the little girl, and the Columbian drug lord who smuggles heroin into Miami through women's breast implants.
