I'm with you. Baseball is sooooo long. I always wind up in a baseball league where 3 or 4 lose interest by the break. Bring on the football!!

Which Fantasy Football site does your league use? We have been using Yahoo for years.

If there's enough interest, maybe we could set up a league with members from here. I'd be in.

We could also try one of those weekly pick 'em pools that Yahoo has. I'm a little better at picking winners (no nose comments, please) than I am running a FF team.

Jun 25 2004, 02:05 PM
Thats sounds good too. Lets stick to that.
I waste way too much time managing one FFball team already.

I'm in. But only if I can yell at Mcgee!......just kidding. We use yahoo also
and for the price $0 it is definately the best. As soon as yahoo opens up football
lets start one up. Lets see if we can get a couple more people from the board or if anyone has friends that would be interested let them know

Fantasy Football has given me an easy 100 bucks in the past couple years. I will do the league but I will never be able to update all season because I'll be out of the country Sept-Dec. But count me in if you decide for it.

I'm with mom on this one. The NBA takes way to long. Why don't they just start their season later if they want their finals to fall into June.

I think there should be a rule against any sport thats season is played when its snowing and also when its 90 outside. Hockey is the same. Way too many regular season meaningless games. If anyone is looking for another fantasy football alternative try homegrown sports. I think its out of baltimore or somewhere close and its either free or pay. If you fund your team you win cash prizes and if not its just for fun. Played that for 2 years. Its ok but I still think yahoo is the way to go for free fantasy sports. If we get enough for the football league what are everyones thoughts on drafting? live draft, on-line draft, or auto draft? Its always hard finding a time thats ok with everyone for a live draft but at least we should all live pretty close by.

My vote would be Yahoo it's free and auto draft.

Done Deal. Yahoo league # 5048 password (hagerstown). Once we get all the spots filled we can go over the league settings and scoring. For now I put in Head to head and basic scoring. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas for scoring bring them up and we can change anything before the draft

CommuterMike, I believe the flex RB/WR position was created for those fantasy players that like to pick the likes of Marshall Faulk. Can anyone confirm?

The flex position is just an extra spot. You can use a RB or WR at that spot. With 8 bench spots your sure to have an extra RB or WR and this way it keeps the scoring up.

So far were up to 5. Biggins and Greedy haven't signed up yet but Ithink I read Greedy was going on vacation so we'll save spots for them. If we can get another 5 we can go with 12 team league. Spread the word and ask your friends. Lets fill it up. Unrelated subject>> Has Sydney Ponson ate the 22 Million he signed for? That fat scrub is well on his way to losing 20 games this year! Another wise pitching investment for the Birds!

Also, can we do the draft after the pre-season games? We dont want to draft a player and then have them hurt b4 the regular season.

Yahoo picks the draft order randomly right before the draft. If anyone has a better way of coming up with an order I could set that order but I think letting the computer pick the order randomly is probably the best option
