Too easy...
Led Zeppelin - Dancing Days
Dancing days are here again as the summer evenings grow
I got my flower, I got my power, I got a woman who knows.
*CHORUS
I said it's alright. You know it's alright - I guess it's all in my heart
You'll be my only, my one and only. Is that the way it should start?
Crazy ways are evident, In the way that you're wearing your clothes
Sippin'' booze is precedent as the evening starts to glow.
CHORUS
I told your mamma I'd get you home but I didn't tell her I had no car
I saw a lion he was standing alone with a tadpole in a jar.
CHORUS
Dancing days are here again as the summer evening grows
You are my flower, you are my power
You are my woman who knows.
CHORUS
Next:
So! Where the hell was Biggles when you needed him last Saturday?
And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though?
They're all resting down in Cornwall
writing up their memoirs for a paper-back edition
of the Boy Scout Manual.

Biggins
Jun 30 2004, 02:39 PM
I believe it's Jethro Tull only because my old rocker friend was drunk one night a few weeks ago telling me about Biggles = Biggins etc. and played the song. I barely noticed or paid attention. Very random that I remembered that, but who knows if I'm anywhere close...

I love the "guess the song thread"!
Ive got one sticking along the same lines.
All you Zep fans should know this. And NO Sir Elton never sang this to my knowledge
"Changes fill my time
Baby, that's all right with me
In the midst I think of you
And how it used to be"
Who can noodle or google this one first

Robert Plant?

Jul 1 2004, 08:42 AM
No, not Plant. Okay, so this doesn't take forever, I say the poster has the option to provide clues. Here is one: The band was named after a motor vehicle. (And it was a popular, probably top 10 song).

More lyrics -- same song: "So you figure that you got him all figured out. He's a sweet talkin' stud who can melt a girl's heart with his pout."
Question to the group: Should the songs be limited to top 40 of their genre? After all, anyone can pick an esoteric side B from a band and stump anyone but Google.
