Anyone out there reading the Dark Tower Series?

My husband, daughter and I are at different stages of the series, but we all find it most enjoyable.

If you like fantasy novels, you should try this series! If you typically do not enjoy King's books, don't let that deter you, this is different than many of his horror fiction works.

I'm a big SK fan. I've read the series a couple of times. I just cracked open the new one, #6.

If there was any silver lining to King getting hit by that van, it was that it made him finally decide to finish writing the Dark Tower series.

I have read #1-4, but since it was so long ago, I am re-reading #3 & #4. My husband is on #6...daughter is just starting #2.

The first 4 I have are paperback, but the last two are special edition hardbacks with the full color art. I may buy hardcovers of the first 4 and loan out the paperbacks...

Yo Webbie! Did you get Dark Tower 7 yet? I'm in the SK book club and they're slacking on shipping my copy.

Edit - got home from work tonight to find this 800+ page monster waiting for me in the mail.

I'm behind! The last one I read was 5... guess I need to take a trot over to Amazon.

I got it in the mail on wednesday, and the artwork is exquisite! We've been waiting a long time for this it better be good!

After reading off/on for a month, I finally finished book 7. Some sadness, some happiness, and an ending that some may not like, BUT I liked it and felt it was well worth the wait. (I'll keep possible spoilers to myself)
