I love the works of Louis Icart, particularly the prints with the greyhounds.

To see examples of his work, check here:

I also like Maxfield Parrish and Erte.

Who are your favorites?
Romulus
Monet and Da Vinci. Only two I really like or care for.
Biggins
Degas and Warhol... I think Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' is perhaps the best work of art I've ever seen.

I don't know that much about art, but I like some things I've seen by Georgia O'Keefe and I think Norman Rockwell's are okay. I don't like Thomas Kinkade.
Yossarian
Maxwell Escher's pretty weird.
So's Picasso.

Ah, Monet, Manet, The Renaissance Period, Degas. Vargas!
GMAN
Thomas Kinkade. bring in the light

I have that print hanging above my mantle in my living room. wink.gif

I really like Salvadore Dahli (http://www.dali-gallery.com/), although I'm sure many think his works are odd. They're definitely different.

For some reason I keep getting Degas and Dali mixed up. I mixed them up on my French art test too. I like Dali very much- my favorite is his painting with the clocks. Degas is ok, but I think he's the one that paints the ballerinas and all.

Another painter I love, but I might not have his name correct is Toulouse-Latrec. If it's the guy I'm thinking of... he did many nightclub advertisement posters that were amazing.

I know this sounds cheesy/corny, but I love the art that goes along with concert posters. I try to collect a poster from every concert I go to and many of them have art that is very wowwing (in both good and bad ways).

I'm not familiar with Degas or Toulouse-Latrec, but I may have to check them out. wink.gif

I don't think it's corny to have concert posters (maybe because I have some old ones myself). They can actually be worth a lot of money some time down the road, depending on the artist, of course.

If you want to see some really excellant art work check out the old album covers(you know, those antique thingys laugh.gif ) from the 60's and 70's! Fantastic.
I have no favorite Art-tiste. I've seen some "works of art" that look like something a 2yr. old did and then some from children that look amazing and put the "professionals" to shame.
But then again I'm one of those people who think that tattoos are ART and that some graffitti(tags) are absolutley ART. rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

Harry Richardson is my favorite local artist/painter.
