14. Just learned last night: Antietam Cable BITES! Then they SUCK. Then they BLOW. Then they ... oh well, you get my point.

I was 24 days late paying my cable bill, and they shut it off. Yes you heard it right - not 60 days, not 30 days, but 24 days!

Excuse me for getting married and being on our honeymoon when you send out a cutoff notice within days of the due date passing! I got paid TODAY, and you a-holes had to shut it down last night!

When I moved in, DirecTV told me the neighbors' tree was in the way. I think I'll get me a chain saw and switch to satellite TV. It costs MUCH less than cable anyway!

I wonder how long it'll be until G-Man comes running to Antietam's defense...

Agreed! Besides, I've grown to enjoy the PAX channel. Feel the spirit! Family Feud kicks ass compared to a huge cable bill.

OK all I'm back. you got it greedy I've been vacationing in Orlando Fla. got out just ahead of charlie. Saw Disney (what a money scam) Did you all know Tigger got arrested for groping a 13 year old girl? but he was found not guilty. Drove on the beach in Daytona (curb side boobies what a great idea) I almost ended up in the Atlantic. Went Deep sea fishing out of Cape Canaveral (caught sea bass, snapper and mackerel).

Nope BMIC can't defend Antietam Cable I hate them A##H*&#@ their bills are too high and their service sucks I will be switching too Direct TV soon.


Also can't defend Mr. schindel or W.P.C. (water pollution control) I'm as pissed as everybody else I too used too enjoy recreation along the Antietam (fishing, boating, camping) It's just like when the Water Plant went down a few years ago. Somebody needs too be held accountable. Thats my 2 cents glad too be back.

Cancelling Cable

Save all of your bills and checks if you want to cancel Antiedam Cable. I paid my last bill (drove it over to the office; I remember it was $69 and change, which I thought was a lot for one month of minimum service) and then cancelled.

They then sent me a bill for three months of previous service that they claimed I had not paid. Why were these charges not on my last bill?

Just a head's up.

I've heard stories of this kind of thing being done more than once. Unfortunately, I haven't kept my bills. But I'm pretty sure I do have all of my cancelled checks and e-mail receipts for online payments.

They came during the work day yesterday and (gee who woulda guessed?) nobody was home. So they left a threatening notice hanging on my doorknob. They think I am going to drive to friggin' H-town and drop off ther converters? I'll stick 'em out on the porch and tell them to come remove their trash or I'll report them for illegal dumping!

sounds like a very similar experience I had with our cable company here!
they came at 9am when no one was home, never left a notice on the door but left a message on answering machine saying they were out for a "service visit". Not 2 days later I recieve a bill from them for over $300!! they were trying to charge me for my digital cable receiver box & converters! I called & they took it off my bill & I had to drive across town to return the equipment. Fast forward to 4 days later, mr. cable guy is beating my door down saying he's here to pick up unreturned equipment!! I refused to let him in, and he proceeded to leave doorhanger & a message on my answering machine! These people are nuts!!
Needless to say, hubby & I are looking into Direct Tv with no looking back to the nasty ol' cable company!!

Sounds like Antietam Cable has some major problems in billing and public relations. This is why I hate monopolies. I hope you folks complain to the regulatory agency and make sure the Top Dog (Hager?) at AC hears about it, too.
