I perform as much maintenance on my vehicles
as I can, but I'm sure someday I'll have to succumb
to a service department or business. Aside from
offering up dealership names, can any suggest
some good shops in the Panhandle ? We bought
both cars in Hagerstown, so Washington County
isn't out of the question either....

Both are foreign makes, btw...I know that makes
a difference sometimes...

I have had really good experiences at Marshall Automotive on Maryland Avenue, and then there is a tiny little garage, with the sweetest old man in charge, I think it is called Cromwells, and it is in the ally behind Ellsworth Electric.

Foreign makes are no problem at either place.

When I lived a short time in WV I took my car to the Goodyear at the Berkeley Plaza Shopping Center. Good honest people doing great work.

We take our company cars to Keplingers on the Sharpsburg Pike. A little slow, but they seem to do good work.

Myself, I take my personal vehicle to the dealer. I know I pay more, but this particular dealer has never cheated me.

I will never take my Volvo back to the dealership from where I bought. I was supposed to get everything included, then when I came to get my car my bill was $200.00. They charged me for things I didn't ask for, and they charged me $50 to reset my message center! I will never go back there again. I now just take my car to Jiffy Lube, but I haven't had major problems yet. (Which I'm not supposed to with a Volvo, at least according to them!)
