Biggins

As many of you already know, I'm leaving Friday for Paris, France to help enrich and improve my education. I'm still not sure about which classes I will be taking, but their focus will be the French language and the EU (European Union). I'm enrolled at La Sorbonne (University of Paris) for the semester and I'll be living in the 'burbs with a woman who may/may not have a family.
I want to thank everyone here in the forums for helping to entertain me during my long and rather boring work days with the federal government this summer. I've learned quite a lot about Wash. Co. from just reading and starting posts here. I hope that my posts over the summer helped someone out in some way. I think I might actually miss reading posts of the older people in this forum because this is the only forum that I've actually felt obligated to put effort into my assertions. I'm glad I found this place and I MIGHT miss Wash. Co. a little bit over the next few months, but I hope someone can carry on my conversation in here so I'm somewhat represented in this forum.
I will do my best to keep everyone updated while in Paris, but I'm not planning to have access to a computer/internet regularly. I got a new huge memory card for my camera, so I'm going to take more photos than a SI swimsuit photographer. I'm about finished packing, I got a short short haircut, I have my absentee ballot taken care of (what a pain), I packed my "United We Stand" and W 04 t-shirts (sarcasm), and a 12 pack of razors (for any ladies I meet that are stereotypical French women).
Everyone just make sure you keep this area in check until my return in mid-December!
Au revoir! Je suis impatient pour arriver à Paris et pour parler une autre langue pendant 3 mois.

We'll miss you! Have a great time, and do try to get online every so often. If you can find a broadband connection, upload some of those pics you'll be taking!
I don't know if I ever would have had the courage to go that far away from home to study and stay with somebody I didn't even know. Good on you! Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Bon voyage! (That's about the extent of my French lol)

After reading his post in the NASCAR thread, it's
obvious he's going to become an F-1 fan.

Good luck, Biggins, and be safe. Drop us a line now and then!
In addition to the biggies like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, be sure to visit that underground shopping mall in Paris, and the oldest cafe in the world (forget the name but kinda neat), and watch out for the nutty motorcyclists.
