Our nation is approaching a critical crossroads that will determine our place in this world for all time. This crossroads is the nation of Israel and the road we take as a nation at this intersection depends upon how we treat the nation of Israel. God has blessed us abundantly as a result of His love and according to His Word but we have a choice to make that will either bless or curse. This choice and the road we take are marked clearly in Gods word in Genesis 12:2-3. God said to Abram “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Friend, we are now in the third world war that started with the dastardly attack on September 11, 2001 and our safety depends upon our being on the same side with Israel.

ACTUALLY, we are now in the thirteenth skirmish of the third great battle of the fifteenth war of the second age of Aquarius.

If you will all now bow down before me and say "we worship you your holiness Lord BMIC!" I will hop up and down on my left leg three times while singing "Yankee Doodle Dandy", do three back flips, and a horrible tragedy will be avoided.

Um, the way I understand it:

Hey, WVD, suppose I come to visit you since I have no place to go. You're okay with that, agreeing that I just stay a short while until I can find a place of my own. Well, like a spoiled brat, I decide that I like your place just fine. So fine that I think I'll tell you to leave. I tell you that your land is actually mine, that it's been in my family for thousands of years, and that you have no right to it. Then I'm going to invite several thousand of my friends and relatives to come and stay. Well, you get angry that I've moved into your house, and even angrier that I have all my friends and relatives staying also. You decide you're going to do something about it and get all your friends and relatives to force us to leave. But I'm going to fight back.

Now, how would you feel?

This is the crux of the matter. Both sides claim that the area is the holiest of holy lands in their respective religions.

It must be the way I was raised but,I say"Lets share the bills" first. Then I'd say you can build you're own place. I'd keep trying.I'd also want to know WHY you don't want to share,which to me is the right thing to do.
It just wouldn't/doesn't make sense not to share.

Also another thing..if this land is "HOLY" then why shed blood on it?It just doesn't make sense.

I am kinda surprised how some folks will immediately jump to mock a Christian who posts his views with some scripture. This guy didn't say the world would end next Thursday, or that UFO's were calling to give him information, etc. Sometimes it seems like it is more acceptable to mock a Christian than any other group. Maybe my memory is failing me, but it seems to me there have been many posts here that contained lots more "idiocy" than this one that were either politely ignored or more accepted than this one. Just something to think about...

I happen to believe Israel has put up with more crap from other nations with less justification than any other country with the possible exception of the US. This little country is surrounded by other countries who want to kill every Israeli alive, and they suffer almost weekly terrorist attacks that are horrible. IMO if the other arab countries cared so darn much about the poor innocent and persecuted Palestinians they would give them a homeland, but they don't really give a hoot about the Palestinians other than the fact that the Palestinians give the other Arab countries who hate Israel another reason to complain. JMO.

WV -- do you have enough land for me to build a small house or put a trailer on? I'd like to have a vacation home in WV. And it'd be great if you had some land I could hunt on, too.

It's more about power than religion in my opinion, just like Northern Ireland.

BMIC was the only person mocking the original post and I won't speak for him, but maybe he felt comfortable to do so because he owns his own Christian beliefs. B knows, more than anyone else, how it feels to have your religious beliefs scrutinized and mocked. We put him through the ringer before. While I'm sure he never broke a sweat, I guarantee he was highly irritated by us, (love ya B!)

Palestine = Israel: the nation established to be the homeland for the Jewish people. The folks who call themselves "Palestinians" are nothing more than Jordanian squatters.

It alwys makes me laugh when people think that any of the Isreali "situations" can be overcome with a little conversation and a "sharing" theory. Maybe everyone should take an Old Testament /Revelations class about God's view on the matter. Remember - at several points, Israel was instructed to demolish everything in order to claim what God had given them.

Ok, upon doing some research on the internet, I have concluded that the "chosen people" are those from Israel. BMIC, do you concur? Or am I misinterpreting this? And if they're the chosen people, what does that make everyone else?

Or am I taking the word "Israel" too literally, when it really means "those who worship god"? Of course, if that was the meaning of "Israel", then it wouldn't really make sense in JessicaMarie's post. Can anybody clear this up for me?

If I can remember from back to Sunday school God's chosen people are the Israelites, who were the ancient Hebrew people descended down from Jacob. I wouldn't think modern Israelis would qualify as Israelits since most are of European descent.
