There ought to be a forum section for the arts. So we can make posts like:
Ancient Greek Art--
The ancient Greeks gave us democracy and ideas of personal liberty including same sex relationships. These were celebrated in art that may be viewed today. Here you will find links to paintings, sculpture and other materials that bring the story forward, though the ages and to the present day.

All that can be included under other topics on the forums.

Go ahead and post that under a fitting category, Stevie. If art conversations get busy and become high traffic, then Webbie would make a whole new forum for it.
Actually, I was thinking it would be better to have one entertainment forum to include, music, movies, books, etc., since these topics are rarely used.

This clown isn't interested in art, he's interested in promoting illegal sexual activity between children and adults (see his other post). If he practices what he promotes he is a threat to children and needs to be locked-up.

Gee, maybe we should just have a homosexual forum? PHISH and I could debate to our hearts' content and the rest of you could ignore the whole thing!

BMIC vs. steviejames in a heated debate on NAMBLA good or bad? Since we know stevie has a vested interest in the pro side were counting on you BMIC for the opposing argument. Have at it

I have slowly been exploring the arts in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. And in outer areas of Maryland.
I had a great time at the Ice House in West Virginia.(www.macicehouse.org), and the Arts Center in Martinsburg. (www.theartcentre.org)
Both have hit or miss days but are really trying new things. There is a Palette show downtown, area artists painted huge wooden art palletts and each one is displayed outside a business on Queen Street. I think the paletes will be out for a month, not sure.
The renovations to the old ice house in Berkeley Springs is really wonderful. The Art Center is the old post office. While the arts center looks kind of basic or struggling, the shows have been good, and the drawing class is a nice alternative. Potential is there, cool.
The Ice House made a great venue for some cool wearable art, jewlery, ceramics, blown glass, paintings, sculpture, and classes.
Art classes, yoga and unrelated but fun community offerings get people down there and start a buzz. I hope it takes off and is a longstanding part of Morgan County.
I fell in love with some of the jewlery and fiber arts at the Ice House. The quilts, bags, and hangings are great. I now use one of the larger bags as a brief case.
The Allegany arts council is also really cool, the people and offerings are very enjoyable. Downtown Cumberland makes it fun, the music and art. They make you want to stay awhile downtown.

The director at the Wash County arts council is a neat guy, I am hopeful to see some great things next year. They have had some innovative show ideas. The miniture art project was cool.
