Sorry to not notice that the Herald-Mail had a forum on computer gamming. Anyway, Yeah, there's a bunch of us who play. So don't feel that you three are the only. Here's a list of what i play and my computer:

I also play the usual mix (Command and Conquer Generals, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Unreal Tounrnament, Solider of Fortune, Battlefield 1942 (and the Desert Combat Mod), Quake 3 (including Rocket Area))

Would love to do a LAN party sometime. I need to build a LAN box first, because my other 2 comps are tower cases and would be a pain in the rear to lug along anywhere. I too play the BF1942 Desert Combat Mod alot. Give me a shout about the gaming community. ctg672jt@yahoo.com

Hey.. I play mechwarrior .

Greets gamer types! I play in the Mechwarrior League with Dagger (from New York myself) and of course he had to show us the latest issue with his face emblazoned on the front.

In any event... I think it is true. This is more of a culture now than it was years ago. I reluctantly admit that I was around before there was a public Internet, and it's an amazing phenomenon to say the least. The world is much smaller than it once was.

Besides Mechwarrior, I'll be playing Star Wars Galaxies in the near future. You can find out more about it at http://www.slicerhq.com (one of the many fan sites). It will be released in the next day or so.

I'm sure Dagger will be so happy that I made it out here! If you want any embarrassing stories about him, I'm sure I can whip up a few for your amusement!

I would love to have a bunch of us who were around to LAN anytime. My hats off to LAN Panic....but i like my system and i don't like paying for time. :-)

I'm personally thinking about doing a larger LAN Party at Haven Lutheran Church maybe next month....however, i would need a lot of people to come.

A hagerstown Gamers association sounds like a great idea. I know me and decay would be in so theres 2 people.

You could also add me to the lot. It would be great to get a group together and start up a weekly gaming association. I heard Hagerstown College did a LAN party few weeks back wonder how that went and if anyone here went?

Well me and Dagger went. For their first time it was okay.

I must say more structure would've been nice for an actual "party"

No offense to everyone... I like BF1942, but that is all we played, maybe next time something different? :-)

yea, we should compile a list of games that everyone can work on getting so when we do get together we are all on the same level.

Good idea. Any good LAN group must have a solid foundation of games they play not limited to 1 but 4 games.

Currently I have
Medal of honor (AA and SH)
BF1942 with desert combat mod

Those currently are the ones I play. I do have others but I grew bored of them..

My suggestions for 4 games would be

1. Battlefield 1942 w/ Desert combat mod
2. Counter strike with mods available Or a Tom Clancy based game ?????
3. Command and conquer Gens
4. Starwars Galaxies????
