I went to Bob Evans with my wife, and it wasn't too good.

Which one? The new one by the mall, the on Dual Hwy, or....?
A few years ago, we went to the one on Dual. There was a screw in hubby's hash browns that had come out of the spatula or something. Luckily, he didn't chomp down on it and break a tooth! Only been there a couple times since.

The one in Martinsburg, found no screws thank goodness, but my chicken in my cobb salad was burnt and my wife refered to her eggs as rubbery.

Wow, where'd you find a gentleman like that?

You'll find we former wrestlers act like gentleman.
At least thats what I teach my wrestlers.

I was being funny! My husband is from a family of wrestlers, state champions at that and they are the most mannerly, gentle, "old-fashioned" men I know. My family is the same way, though not wrestlers, and I pride myself on that. Most Berkeley Springs athletes have coaches that really instill a good set of morals within their guys (and girls).

Naomi - it is easy to train most men for door opening and chair pulling. If you just stand there enough times, he will get the idea :-)
I once stood aside to let my date open a door for me. Well, he opened the door and walked right in without me. I patiently waited for him to realize that I was not right behind him, he had to come back and find me. I thought it was very funny and he thought it was very embarrassing.
This technique is really funny when you approach the car and your date just gets in the drivers side. If you stand there, the guy has to get back out and walk around to open your door.
There is always the chance that the guy will get mad and take off without you, but if that is the case, you are better off anyway

I've mined some good ones also and saved them. I'm in the same boat though, most of what struck me as funny enough to save aren't appropriate for here.

require? no... prefer? yes. My husband was trained by his FAMILY, so it really comes natural to him. Makes life easier, and makes all my girls jealous!
HAHA! Sorry, I just love that. I was always more of a tomboy in HS and hung out with all the guys, so the girls really hoot when they see me acting like a lady and being treated like a queen.

Sorry but I couldn't help myself: you don't get many second dates, do you? I just can't see many men letting a woman get away with that kind of silliness more than once in the course of a relationship.

Chickpea Salad sandwich on whole wheat bread, 1/2 bowl ramen noodles, pretzels and a handful of peanuts.

I had a Subway Melt w/ everything bad for me and nothing good for me on it - extra cheese, extra meats, extra mayonnaise, and lots of salt and peppa.
Plus, two cans of Pepsi (You got the right one, Baby!), sour cream -n- onion chips (ripply ones!) and a strawberry eclair bar.
Very tasty, very unhealthy... I'm beginning to see a pattern for me here.

Hummus is ground up chickpeas plus other stuff... tahini, lemon juice, sometimes garlic or paprika... and it's usually super-fine.
When I make "chickpea salad," I just fork-mash them, stir in a little nayonnaise (non-egg mayo), sprinkle a little salt & pepper, and viola!
Today for lunch I had two chickpea salad sandwiches and pretzels. I really should eat some fruit.
But I ate a healthy dinner last night: roast sweet potatoes, asparagus, broccoli & cauliflower, fried tofu slices, and soba noodles.
