Jumpin' Jill

West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle was represented Sunday in Berryville, Va., in a mule-jumping competition, which was part of a Shenandoah Valley Steam and Gas Engine Association steam show. Jill, shown here, did the best of the West Virginia mules, clearing 48 inches with this jump, good for third place in the event. Her owner, Mike Kilmer of Falling Waters, W.Va., is holding the lead rope.
