New railroad bridge

A railroad bridge now spans U.S. 11 south of Martinsburg, W.Va., near Pikeside. Construction of a 1.3-mile rail spur between Essroc's cement plant and Winchester & Western Railroad, which includes this bridge over U.S. 11, continues about one mile south of the U.S. 11 intersection with Apple Harvest Drive. The project was previously estimated to cost about $6 million and take four to six months to complete.
