The American League Champion Texas Rangers were not part of the study. Manager Ron Washington said baseball is basically mind over matter sport. "I'm more than certain that some guys to play better at night than they play during the daytime," Washington said. "I haven't seen it here on our team other than (Josh) Hamilton and that's a known fact."
