'Mr. Belvedere' (1985-1990)
Who they are: English housekeeper Lynn Belvedere (Christopher Hewett) moves to Pittsburgh to live with the Owens family, with plans to publish a book based on a diary of his time with them. George, a sportscaster played by Bob Uecker, and his wife Marsha (Ilene Graff), a law student, have three children: awkward Kevin (Rob Stone), shy and careful Heather (Tracy Wells) and prankster Wesley (Brice Beckham), who love to spar with Mr. Belvedere.
What the kids like: The kids. The Owens' three children allow viewers to identify with the problems of the teenagers or Wesley's half-baked schemes.
What the parents can't get enough of: The Owens try to do their best for their children, but it's Mr. Belvedere who helps turn their house into a home. He's there to help with wholesome lessons on unplanned pregnancies, alcohol and balancing school with extracurricular activities.
